The event is organized for the first time by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi People’s Committee, Vietnam Television, and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
The event space stretches around Hoan Kiem Lake, featuring 13 experiential corners designed as 13 emotional expressions, including the Vietnam Happiness exhibition, digital interactive spaces, artistic photo booths, and outdoor wellness activities, emphasizing health as happiness. There is also a space to send wishes for the future. At the Ly Thai To Statue Square stands a “Happiness Tree,” where people can display their wishes.

A highlight of the event is the mass wedding ceremony for 80 couples themed “A Shared Day-Love is Happiness,” symbolizing the 80-year journey of “Independence-Freedom-Happiness.” The ceremony also celebrates silver, golden, and diamond wedding anniversaries for couples.
The awards ceremony of the “Vietnam Happiness 2025” Human Rights Communications Prize, honoring photos and videos of happiness theme, takes place on Saturday evening.
This year’s event sets the foundation for an annual national celebration. In 2025, Vietnam ranked 46th in the global happiness index, rising 8 places compared to 2024.
