According to a meeting held by the Youth Union’s Central Committee on Monday in Hanoi, on April 26, in Dien Bien province, the Organizing Committee will present prizes to the contest on 70 years of Dien Bien Phu Victory and launch a competition on the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army.

Donations worth 300,000 USD will be allocated to Dien Bien and other mountainous provinces of Vietnam’s northwest region.

Nguyen Thai An, Head of the Communication Department of the Youth Union, said: “Destinations and venues of social security activities are all associated with historical milestones of the country. We aim to strengthen education for Youth Union members and young people."

"There will be activities to support disadvantaged areas. In particular, Youth Union members, young people, teenagers, and children can visit historical sites and revolutionary relics, and engage in real-life experiences that will arouse everyone’s emotions. So, you will be the ones to spread the messages about the nation's heroic historical traditions."
