Themed "Humanitarian journey - Giving and receiving love”, the event responds to the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, May 8, and aims to  build a compassionate community, honor and replicate role models and efficient methods in implementing humanitarian activities during the Humanitarian Month and Workers Month of May.

A Humanitarian Month ceremony was launched on Friday in Thong Thu commune by the Red Cross Society of Nghe An province in coordination with the People's Committee of Que Phong district.

During this year’s Humanitarian Month, Nghe An’s Red Cross Society aims to raise at least 236,000 USD to help the poor, people in particularly difficult circumstances, and the vulnerable.
