The WTO's Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) will appoint a panel of experts to review President Trump's tariff decision. The DSB agreed to launch the probe after China filed a second request for its case to be heard.

China’s representative told the WTO that US tariffs on Chinese goods in 2018 violated WTO regulations and posed a systemic challenge to the world's multilateral trading system. The US representative called China’s claims "nonsense".
