Lao ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh told the guests that in the past 48 years, under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Laos has carried out two strategic missions of national defense and development. Since the Party initiated a renewal comprehensive policy, Laos has entered a period of rapid, continuous, and stable growth.

She applauded the contributions of VOV and VOV5’s programs in 13 languages, including Lao service, to promoting the relations between the two countries.

“I consider VOV5 an important channel, contributing to disseminating Vietnam's guidelines and policies as well as the great friendly relationship between the two Parties, States and the peoples. Through VOV5, the people of Vietnam and Laos also better understand each other and their good relationship," she said.

Director Hoa appreciated the Lao Embassy’s initiative to establish a charity fund to support Vietnamese and Laotian organizations and individuals in difficult circumstances. 

“We are touched when the Ambassador instigated an idea right at the beginning of her term, that is, on this National Day, the Embassy will not receive flowers, but instead, welcome a gesture of kindness and charity to join hands with the Embassy to help disadvantaged people and children in remote areas. On this occasion, we, at VOV5, also have a small gift to respond to the call," according to Hoa.
