(VOVworld)- The 7th International Exhibition of Shipbuilding, Marine Technology, and Transportation (VietShip 2014) opened in Hanoi on Wednesday. Foreign and domestic shipbuilders and maritime groups from several countries including Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Norway and Singapore packed more than 200 pavilions with their latest products and services. Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang said that the exhibition was an opportunity to foster investment and trade exchanges between Vietnamese and overseas businesses.

“We hope that through VietShip 2014, participants will find new business opportunities, especially for investment in Vietnam. We also hope that Vietnam will find new strategic partners and sign new economic contracts”.
The exhibition will also feature a workshop on the development of Vietnam’s Shipbuilding Industry with participation from the relevant ministries and sectors, ship registers, ship owners and financial institutions.
