Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Deputy Minister of National Defense, told the meeting that the military parade will be held solemnly, safely and economically and demonstrate the unity and regularity of the people's armed forces as well as the nation's cultural identity and desire for peace. In addition, there will be torch relays, fireworks, and air force salutes.
The plan urges agencies and units to well accomplish their functions and tasks, strengthen combat readiness, and strictly control the airspace, sea area, border gates, and border lines to ensure safety for the celebrations.
The military parade plan will be submitted to the Standing Board of the Central Military Commission and leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, then submitted to the Prime Minister for approval.
