The Vietnamese leaders included Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Tran Dai Quang, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh.

Representatives from Vietnamese branches and organizations, and foreign embassies in Hanoi have also paid respect to the Cuban leader.
