Industry leaders outlined specific ways to attract investment into high-growth sectors like semiconductors, AI, smart manufacturing, renewable energy, robotics, aerospace, and autonomous technologies.

Vietnam is emerging as a pivotal link and a strategically significant destination within the global technology supply chain, said John W. Mitchell, Chairman of the Global Electronics Association (GEA).

Jointly organized by the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC) and the GEA, the event formed part of APEX EXPO 2026, one of the premier gatherings of the US electronics industry.

As a dynamic platform for investment connectivity, the forum funneled capital flows and established substantive cooperation frameworks between financial institutions, academia, and tech leaders from both nations.

Participants agreed that to move up the global value chain, Vietnam must prioritize a highly skilled workforce, harden its core technology infrastructure, ensure sustainable energy, and maintain a transparent, internationally aligned investment climate.

"Vietnam is seizing the opportunities of the new industrial revolution," said Vo Xuan Hoai, the NIC Deputy Director. "By synergizing with global innovation ecosystems, particularly our strategic partners in the US, we’re improving our technological self-reliance and solidifying Vietnam’s position in the global economic architecture."

The forum brought together 100 executives, investors, and technology experts, including representatives from major organizations, corporations, and investment funds such as GEA, EXCEL Services Corporation, Viglacera, Sun Group, Prodezi, VNPost, Azurich, Saigontel, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

Its success was cemented by several landmark strategic cooperation agreements. NIC signed MoUs with EXCEL Services Corporation, Azurich Investment Fund, and Viet Tri University of Industry. EXCEL Services Corporation entered a partnership with the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
Through this forum, NIC reaffirmed its role as the central catalyst of Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem, paving the way for multinational corporations to establish a long-term, high-impact presence in the Vietnamese market.
