Speaking at a meeting with Vietnam’s Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung during the World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development in Spain recently, Beka Jakeli, UN Tourism’s Director of External Relations, highlighted Vietnam’s successful organization of the Second Annual Meeting of the Best Tourism Villages by the UN Tourism Network and the First Conference on Tourism for Rural Development last December.

The two sides discussed potential cooperation in medical and health tourism, tourism planning following Vietnam’s recent administrative restructuring, and tourism promotion through digital platforms and technology.
