The exhibition showcased Vietnam’s culture and landscape, highlighting a blend of tradition and modern life, and the rich diversity of its 54 ethnic groups. It also reflected Vietnam’s dedication to protecting basic rights, including freedom of belief and religion, and shared Vietnam’s achievements in education, healthcare, and social equality—thanks to national policies and international cooperation.
The exhibition showed the international community a modern Vietnam open to the world yet still proud of its cultural identity and unity. Alain Jourdan, a member of the UN Correspondents Association, said that events like this show Vietnam’s strong support for the multilateral system.
"Vietnam has proven to be a committed defender of international cooperation, especially through platforms like Geneva. These spaces help promote dialogue, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding," he added.
In December, 2024, Vietnam announced its candidacy for re-election to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for the 2026-2028 tenure.
