The outstanding results included 1 championship title, 10 gold, 7 silver, and 4 bronze medals.
“Within just two months, we organized a national competition and selected 22 students from 2,500 applicants. Ours was the smallest team at AIMO 2025, and the result has far exceeded our expectations,” said Bui Van Phuong, Chairman of the Board at Tien Phong Joint Stock Company and Head of the Vietnam AIMO 2025 delegation.
The 2025 AIMO drew more than 3,500 contestants from 21 countries and territories across Asia. Conducted in English, AIMO is one of the region’s most prestigious international math competitions, organized annually since 2012 by the Asian Mathematical Olympiad Committee based in Hong Kong (China).
Vietnam has participated in AIMO since 2019 and has quickly built a strong reputation, earning hundreds of medals to date.
