Speaking at a recent high-level international conference on the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution at the UN Headquarters in New York, Ambassador Viet emphasized Vietnam’s unwavering solidarity with the just struggle of the Palestinian people.

He called on all parties to resume negotiations and uphold the UN Charter, international law, provisional measures issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ), and relevant UN resolutions.

At a prior UN Security Council debate on the situation in the Middle East and Palestine, Ambassador Viet also voiced deep concern over the prolonged conflict, violence targeting women and children, and worsening famine in Gaza.

He urged all parties to agree to a ceasefire, release hostages, and refrain from unilateral actions that obstruct UN and humanitarian efforts to assist affected civilians.
