The 48th session of the UN Human Rights Council began Monday, attended by representatives of 47 member countries and more than 100 observers, intergovernmental organizations, and NGOs based in Geneva. The 4-week session will include 40 major discussions and dialogues, and conduct Universal Periodic Reviews of 15 countries.
