At a reception in Hanoi for the visiting Indonesian President-elect, PM Chinh proposed that Indonesia soon sign a rice trade cooperation agreement, create favorable conditions for Vietnamese agricultural and Halal products to access the Indonesian market, and back Vietnam’s efforts for the European Commission (EC)’s lifting of the illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing yellow card.

The two sides agreed to coordinate to remove difficulties, reduce trade barriers, facilitate trade promotion activities and market access for each other's goods, including agricultural products and Halal products.

Prime Minister Chinh said Vietnam is ready to work with and support Indonesia in ensuring food security.
