Vietnam hopes to soon upgrade ties with Thailand

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam attaches importance to strengthening the enhanced Strategic Partnership with Thailand and hopes the two countries will soon upgrade their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, said National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

At Friday meeting with King Maha Vajiralongkorn and the Queen of Thailand, in Bangkok, Chairman Hue said he believes that under the wise reign of the King, the National Assembly, the Government and the people of Thailand will continue to achieve even greater achievements in national construction and development, with its rising role in the region and the world.

The King emphasized that the Thai Royal Family and Government will continue to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Thailand, support and develop Vietnamese culture and language, including President Ho Chi Minh's relics, Vietnamese pagodas, Vietnam Street, and Center for Vietnamese Studies.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue respectfully conveyed the words of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Vo Van Thuong inviting King Maha Vajiralongkorn and the Queen to visit Vietnam at an appropriate time.
