Speaking at a meeting with Jozef Síkela, EU Commissioner for International Partnerships in Hanoi on Tuesday, Minister Trung stressed the need to step up cooperation in science, technology and innovation, and to further tap the potential of the EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement to expand economic and trade ties.
He also urged the EU to soon ratify the EU–Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement, remove the “yellow card” on Vietnamese seafood under IUU regulations, and take Vietnam off the list of non-cooperative tax jurisdictions.
