(VOVWORLD) -The Vietnamese Embassy in the UK said it has been in close contact with local authorities and requested coordination and close monitoring of the case that seven migrants were detected and rescued by British police from a lorry at Newhaven port in East Sussex on February 16.
The case is in the process of investigation and verification and these migrants are receiving health treatment, the Embassy said, adding it’s ready to take necessary measures to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of citizens in case they are identified as Vietnamese.
