The Party leader expressed his wish to develop the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the United States in a more substantive and in-depth direction, enhance strategic content in cooperation areas, on the basis of respecting each other's independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and political institutions, in line with Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification and multilateralization.

As 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the Vietnam-US diplomatic relations, General Secretary Lam suggested that the two sides continue to coordinate effectively in implementing the agenda, boost mutual visits at all levels, and jointly promote peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Ambassador Knapper said the Government of President Donald Trump values the US-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and hopes that the two countries will strengthen cooperation and implement it effectively, substantially, and in depth, bringing practical benefits to the people of both countries.

A "strong, independent, prosperous, and self-reliant" Vietnam contributes positively to peace and stability in the region and the world and is something the US always supports, according to the Ambassador.
