At a meeting with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha on Thursday as part of his official visit to Qatar, PM Chinh thanked and asked Qatar to continue providing Arabic study scholarships to Vietnamese students. He encouraged the two sides to expand cooperation in digital transformation, green transformation, and circular economy.
The Prime Minister said he is impressed with the Emir's statement “there are no limits in relations with Vietnam”, which he said expressed the Emir's concern and affection for Vietnam as well as the relationship between the two countries. The Prime Minister congratulated Qatar's outstanding successes under the leadership of the Emir, helping Qatar develop rapidly and sustainably.
The Emir said Qatar is always open to cooperative activities with Vietnam, suggesting that both sides seek common areas of cooperation. He expressed his hope that more Vietnamese companies will invest in Qatar and agreed to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live and work stably in Qatar.

On the same day, at a meeting with Speaker of the Shura Council (Consultative Assembly) of Qatar Hassan bin Abdulla Al-Ghanim in Doha, the two leaders agreed to further the role of parliamentary diplomacy and strengthen cooperation between the two countries' Parliaments to implement effective bilateral cooperation mechanisms.
They stressed the need to push the upgrading of relations to a new level and prioritize economic, trade, investment, and energy cooperation. Both pledged to complete policies and agreements, especially the Free Trade Agreement, to strengthen cooperation between businesses and connect the people of the two countries.
