At the meeting, Prime Minister Chinh proposed that JTA continue to expand cooperation and investment in Vietnam and promote its role as a bridge to bring potential Qatari investors in particular and foreign investors in general to invest in Vietnam.
After the meeting, the Prime Minister witnessed the handing over of the Memorandum of Agreement on investment research cooperation in the Dong Anh sports complex and theme park project between T&T and JTA.

Earlier, Prime Minister Chinh met the leaders of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Qatar's national investment fund with estimated assets of about 475 billion USD in 2023.
Chairman of QIA and Governor of the Central Bank of Qatar Sheikh Bandar Al Thani, and Chief Investment Officer for Asia-Africa at QIA Sheikh Faisal Al Thani said that through research on emerging markets, QIA sees investment opportunities in Vietnam, consistent with QIA's strategy towards the Far East and East Asia.
Welcoming QIA’s cooperation with Vietnam's the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC), the Prime Minister asked QIA to consider promoting investment in Vietnam, focusing on strategic infrastructure projects. He applauded QIA for sending a working team to Vietnam to discuss with Vietnamese agencies or online exchange to learn specifically about Vietnam’s list of key projects called for investment.
