Over the past two days, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh met with leaders of New South Wales's Parliament and government, visited the Vietnamese Consulate General, and engaged with the Vietnamese expatriate community.

At a meeting with Greg Piper, Speaker of the New South Wales House of Representatives, Nguyen Thi Thanh assured that the Vietnamese National Assembly would create favorable conditions for Australian businesses, particularly those from New South Wales, to invest and operate successfully in Vietnam. She also proposed stronger cooperation in trade, investment, mineral extraction, logistics, clean energy, and carbon reduction.

Greg Piper expressed optimism about the potential for stronger ties between New South Wales and Vietnamese localities, and more broadly, between Australia and Vietnam. He noted that this visit would enhance both cultural and economic exchanges.
