The book discusses the women’s life stories and motivations through their conversations with author and journalist Szabó Attila Zoltan.
It portrays Thien as a bridge between Vietnam and Hungary, as well as Asia and Europe, and highlights her tireless dedication to promoting Vietnamese culture in Hungary, which has helped bring the two countries and their people closer together, Zoltan said.
At the book’s launch last week, Le Trong Ha, Chargé d’Affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary, called Zoltan’s work an example of the successful integration of the Vietnamese community in Hungary into their host country in general, and that of Dr. Phan Bich Thien in particular.
These efforts will significantly contribute to the process of recognizing Vietnamese people in Hungary as an ethnic minority group, which the embassy and the Vietnamese Association in Hungary are working towards, he added.
