All routes of the four distances of marathon, half marathon, 10km and 5km are certified by the International Marathon Association and the Vietnam Athletics Federation.
This is part of a series of events celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Hanoi, October 10, said Pham Xuan Tai, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports.
Through the race, the beauty of the capital city will be promoted to international friends, he said. “This year's race has attracted many foreigners, demonstrating that Hanoi is one of the top destinations for international tourists, athletes and running enthusiasts.”
Responding to the call for support for typhoon Yagi victims, Techcombank has donated 130,000 USD to the affected provinces in northern Vietnam. Techcombank also announced donations of more than 430,000 USD through the Bank’s Charity Fund and 43,000 USD through the Long Bien District Social Security Fund and three sports federations of Hanoi.
