The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade provided 2.1 million AUD to establish the Center. Nokia provided technical equipment for the Center’s operation.
The center was established under a cooperation initiative between the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology. It is operated by PTIT and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), with Nokia Group as the founding corporate partner.

At the launch ceremony, eight funding projects worth over 260,000 USD were announced to enhance strategic technology cooperation between Vietnamese and Australian scientists. These projects focus on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, satellite technology, and quantum technology.
