(VOVworld) – President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee Nguyễn Thiện Nhân urged the military telecom group to develop telecommunications devices and upgrade infrastructure by 2020 to ensure national network security.

At a meeting with the Viettel Group on Monday, he asked the group to increase the localization ratio and develop smart customer-premises equipment (CPE) infrastructure toward becoming a research centre and boosting production. Hailing the group’s efforts and innovation, he suggested Viettel pay more attention to using talents while enhancing coordination and links to master technology, contributing to modernising the country’s telecom industry and serving national development.
