(VOVworld) – Venezuelan National Assembly President Diosdado Cabello hailed the oil and gas co-operation between Venezuela and Russia at a meeting Wednesday in Caracas with the President of Russia’s Rosneft oil and gas corporation, Igor Sechin.

Cabello said Venezuela has made remarkable achievements in oil and gas exploration and exploitation, thanks to Russia’s investment and technology transfers. He called for mechanisms between petroleum exporters in order to stabilise oil prices.
Sechin praised the Venezuelan government for its investment in education, infrastructure, technology improvement, and social welfare programs, insisting that he will do his utmost to contribute to Russia-Venezuela relations.
