President Trump warned that Russia must not interfere in the next election in the future and said he has confidence in US intelligence agencies. White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders and FBI Director Christopher Wray agreed that Russia is continuing its efforts to affect US elections.
Mr. Trump’s statement came shortly before he told his cabinet that Russia is no longer a threat. He said the US is doing well with sanctions against Russia and President Putin is well aware of the situation.
