Andrei Kortunov made the remark at a roundtable discussion on Tuesday looking into the results of the summit, adding that the bilateral cooperation will first of all, be aimed at settlement of the Syrian conflict and nuclear disarmament.
Russia’s Sputniknews reported that many Congressmen in the US have worked with Western media to distort the Helsinki summit as a scandal, to prevent cooperation between Washington and Moscow.
In another development, US President Donald Trump has insisted that he will not view Russia as an enemy to Washington and underscored the possibility of joint cooperation with Russia.
