Most of the cuts – 8.3 billion – are to foreign aid, with the remaining 1.1 billion cut from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which funds National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries criticized the bill as “reckless” and warned it will “undermine America’s national security [and] hurt our ability to protect the American people.”
