The announcement follows an unprecedented operation in which Poland, a member of the European Union and NATO, shot down suspected Russian drones that had breached its airspace on Wednesday, with support from its NATO allies.
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said Warsaw is working to draw global attention to the incident.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry stated that its drones had carried out a large-scale strike on military facilities in western Ukraine and had no plans to target any locations in Poland.
