Sybiha reiterated Kyiv's call for a meeting between Russian and Ukrainian leaders, saying it would be the most effective step toward a ceasefire. "We’re ready for such negotiations in any format, in any geography," he said.
Russia has not responded to the Ukrainian foreign minister’s statement. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov on Tuesday said Moscow views diplomacy as the preferred path to ending the Ukraine conflict and remains open to negotiations, but only if its objectives are reached.
He rejected US President Donald Trump's 50-day ultimatum to agree to a ceasefire with Ukraine, describing the threat of "severe tariffs" as unacceptable.
