Speaking at a World Bank conference on Thursday, Ban said concern over Ebola spreading outside West Africa is increasing and “the best solution is an immediate and effective response.” The latest statistics from the World Health Organisation say some 3,800 people have died from 8,033 Ebola infections, and that 375 medical officers have been infected and their death rate is 70 per cent.
