Vietnam has gained achievements in promoting gender equality

Scheduled from March 28 – 31, the visit aims to enhance cooperation between Vietnam and the organization in promoting gender equality and raising public awareness regarding women’s rights. Mlambo-Ngcuka will hold high-leveled talks with Vietnamese government leaders and meet with government and National Assembly female officials and representatives from civil organizations. Participants will focus on Vietnam’s achievements and the UN’s assistance in promoting gender equality, the empowerment of women, and tackling the challenges and difficulties around Vietnam’s gender issues. The UN representative will also talk with Vietnamese students and women about school safety and social well-being.
