Mr. Chinh was speaking during Friday’s visit to Brigade 12 of the Truong Son Construction Corporation and the Truong Son – Ho Chi Minh Trail Tradition Association on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory and the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

The Prime Minister stressed that Truong Son soldiers’ achievements were a legendary and heroic miracle of the 20th century. He also praised Brigade 12’s development and the positive results of its political tasks, adding that the brigade has successfully kept up the heroic traditions of the Truong Son soldiers.

Brigade 12 has exceptionally performed its military, national defense and international missions, while participating in the region’s economic development, he said. It has made its presence felt in remote areas across 21 provinces of Vietnam and 5 provinces of Laos, Mr. Chinh noted.
