To cater to the large number of visitors, the staff, soldiers, and units showed their high sense of responsibility and worked closely with each other to assure security and safety and leave a good impression on domestic and foreign visitors.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board delivered bread and a bottle of water or milk free of charge to each visitor.

President Ho Chi Minh passed away in 1969. His body was embalmed and placed in a glass coffin inside the granite mausoleum.
