During his phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, Erdogan said that Ankara is ready to facilitate and mediate to ensure long-term peace between Russia and Ukraine.
The two leaders also discussed the creation of a gas hub in Turkey and the export of grain from the Black Sea, the Kremlin said.
President Erdogan has many times proposed Turkey acting as a mediator between Russia and Ukraine since their conflict broke out in February 2022.
