Trump told reporters after a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he is trying to make a deal so that there's no destruction and death, but he did not rule out the possibility that things would go in another direction.
Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday that the latest proposal from the United States is not the outcome of the previous rounds of negotiations, and Iran will submit its proposal to the US through Oman. He said Iran's forthcoming proposal would be reasonable, logically sound, and balanced, urging the US to consider it seriously.
