(VOVWORLD) -Tehran on Sunday warned it will reduce its cooperation with the UN's nuclear watchdog if an anti-Iran resolution is passed at an upcoming UN meeting.

Speaking on the Iranian state television, Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesperson for Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, said the IAEA would no longer receive Iran’s broad and goodwill cooperation if it passes a resolution hostile to Iran.

The warning came just one day before the IAEA Board of Governors is scheduled to convene its regular quarterly meeting in Geneva. During this session, the IAEA is expected to review and possibly adopt a draft resolution accusing Iran of failing to comply with its nuclear non-proliferation obligations.

The draft resolution is reportedly being promoted jointly by the US, the UK, France, and Germany.

In a message posted on social media platform X on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi strongly criticized the actions of the three European countries (the E3) at the IAEA, describing them as a hostile and malicious move against Iran.
