Top legislator praises OVs in Eastern Europe for solidarity, bonding, and mutual support - ảnh 1NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue meets with six Vietnamese Ambassadors to Europe on September 5, 2021, in Vienna, Austria.

Working with six Vietnamese Ambassadors to Europe that evening, Mr. Hue praised their efforts to secure COVID-19 vaccines for Vietnam and said the National Assembly will work with the Government to speed up purchase and delivery of vaccines because of the extreme urgency of Vietnam’s need.

At a meeting with representatives of the Vietnamese community in Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Hungary, and Slovakia, Mr. Hue applauded OVs for upholding the Vietnamese tradition of solidarity, bonding and mutual support.

“Kindhearted compatriots always turn to their homeland in both words and deeds. Whenever the Fatherland comes up against difficulties caused by storms, floods, or natural disasters - or a COVID-19 pandemic - Vietnamese expats do all they can to help their homeland. This is precious,” said Mr. Hue.

He added, “OVs have contributed enormously to national construction and development. Over the past 5 years, remittances sent back to Vietnam have exceeded 70 billion USD. Approximately 360 projects in Vietnam have received 1.6 billion USD in investments from OVs in 27 countries and territories."
