NA Chairman to attend World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Austria

(VOVWORLD) -Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue will attend the fifth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Vienna, Austria, from September 6-9.

The conference is expected to see the attendance of 114 chairpersons of the National Assembly, speakers of the House of Representatives and the Senate, and 30 vice chairpersons of the National Assembly from 104 Inter-Parliamentary Union member parliaments, 7 associate members and 10 observers.

Vietnam’s National Assembly Chairman will participate in plenary sessions and thematic discussions on sustainable development, strengthening the role of multilateralism in anti-COVID-19 cooperation, post-pandemic recovery, transforming the economy, combating climate change and protecting the environment.

After this multilateral event, National Assembly Chairman Hue will pay working visits to the European Parliament and Belgium, and an official visit to Finland.
