The Anam Mui Ne was founded and is still owned by Pham Van Hien, with the site opening on January 11. Escape noted that the 122sq m presidential suite is equipped with quarters for the bodyguards. The design of the suite features decadent elements inspired by the French Indochine era, such as claw foot baths and leather-bound tables.

Prior to the establishment of The Anam Mui Ne, The Anam Cam Ranh was launched in 2017. The Anam Cam Ranh has received widespread acclaim and has been honored with some of the industry's highest accolades. In both 2021 and 2020, it was recognized as one of Asia's top resorts in the Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards.

In addition to its luxury offerings, The Anam Mui Ne is committed to environmental sustainability. The hotel has implemented various measures to reduce its carbon footprint, including the banishment of single-use plastics and the utilization of solar power and locally-sourced ingredients.

Completing the list of the top 20 best hotels are Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets of Mexico, Bulgari Hotel Tokyo of Japan, Mondrian Singapore Duxton of Singapore, Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort of Hawaii, Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort of Maldives, Shinta Mani Mustang of Nepal, COMO Le Montrachet of France, JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge of Kenya, and Cap Karoso, Sumba of Indonesia.
