"Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang are the best destinations for those who want to experience Vietnamese cities, while Hoi An is sometimes referred to as the 'Venice of Vietnam' due to its canals, alongside its well-preserved Ancient Town comprised of wooden Chinese style shops houses and French colonial buildings," according to The Independent. 

It also recommended other destinations in Vietnam such as Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh), Phu Quoc (Kien Giang), Cu Lao Cham (Quang Nam), Phong Nha Cave, Son Doong Cave (Quang Binh), and the sand dunes in Mui Ne (Binh Thuan).
