During the meeting, President Cuong urged the two countries to further consolidate political trust, enhance high-level and sectoral exchanges, promote cooperation in defense, security and combating transnational crimes, and expand partnerships in education, culture and people-to-people exchanges.

The Korean Speaker affirmed he would coordinate with the Vietnamese legislature to support both governments in strengthening cooperation across fields in line with the interests of the two peoples.

Speaker Woo Won-shik expressed appreciation for President Luong Cuong's in the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Gyeongju, which contributed to the event’s success.

He said the Republic of Korea will actively share its experience and work closely with Vietnam to ensure the successful hosting of APEC 2027.

Both leaders agreed to maintain close coordination and mutual support at regional and international forums, and to continue efforts toward lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.
