At a meeting with the families of 10 female youth volunteer martyrs who died at Dong Loc T-junction, Mr. Hung emphasized the morality of "remembering the source of the water we drink" and expressed gratitude to the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for national independence, freedom, and development.
The same day, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang offered flowers and incense at the Dak Lak Martyrs' Cemetery. He also presented gifts to 55 families of policy beneficiaries and meritorious people of Dak Lak province.
Working with the provincial Party Committee, General Giang asked the locality to continue to take good care of Vietnamese heroic mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers, people with meritorious service, and relatives of martyrs.
On Sunday afternoon, at the Martyrs' Cemetery of Tuyen Quang province, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha performed a ritual to honor heroes and martyrs, and presented gifts to families of war invalids, martyrs, and revolutionary contributors.
