SAP plans to invest 175 million USD in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - German tech giant SAP on Thursday announced the launch of SAP Labs Vietnam and plans to invest 175 million USD in the digital innovation hub over the next five years. SAP Labs Vietnam will be located in Ho Chi Minh City and will have 500 employees by 2027.

Clas Neumann, Senior Vice President and Head of the SAP Labs Network worldwide, said this is the right time to invest in Vietnam, citing its abundant tech talent, strong government support for innovation and digital transformation, and solid academic and infrastructure foundations.

This will be the second SAP Labs in Southeast Asia after the one in Singapore and will make Vietnam the 20th country to have such a facility.

Neumann said this reaffirms SAP’s commitment to strengthening Vietnam’s digital capabilities and positioning Vietnam as one of the region’s leading technology hubs.
