Under this partnership, both countries will prioritize cooperation in policy development, renewable energy expansion, digitalization of the power sector, energy efficiency improvement, grid modernization, and decarbonization support for hard-to-abate sectors.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long said: “The signing of the cooperation agreement to establish an Energy Partnership with Germany upgrades bilateral relations in energy and industry. It opens a new framework for cooperation and creates favorable conditions for businesses, especially German companies, to invest, trade, and collaborate in science, technology, and technology transfer with Vietnamese enterprises, particularly in the renewable energy sector.”
The same day, Deputy Minister Long attended a roundtable discussion on Germany’s support for developing renewable energy hubs in Vietnam.
