Ms. Xuan was speaking at a reception for visiting Hessen Minister-President Boris Rhein in Hanoi on Wednesday.
She encouraged Hessen businesses to invest in Vietnam and support its transition to green growth and its climate change mitigation efforts. Madam Xuan urged Hessen to advocate for Germany’s Parliament to ratify the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).
Minister-President Rhein acknowledged the potential for further collaboration, particularly in areas that Vietnam needs and Hesse has strength, such as education, finance, science, technology, labour, and renewable energy.
He emphasized that Hessen prioritizes the Vietnamese-Germany University project and will coordinate with Vietnam to foster the institution’s growth.
Both sides agreed to work closely in organizing activities to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic relations next year.
