(VOVworld) – Russia has sent a note to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, urging Ukraine to punish those involved in the “orgy” around the Russian Embassy in Kiev last week and to redress the damage.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Sunday that the Azov battalion, created and sponsored by Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, is believed to be behind the attack. On Sunday, the EU Foreign Affairs Council, the US, and Belarus condemned the embassy attack in Kiev and asked Ukraine to ensure security for diplomatic bodies as agreed in the Vienna convention.
