In a statement, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of launching more than 100 drones into Ukraine overnight. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched 117 drones into the city of Kryvyi Rig and the Sumy border area, of which 56 were shot down and 48 were lost to radar without causing major damage.
The Russian Defense Ministry accused Ukraine of firing drones at a "gas storage facility" in the Crimean Peninsula and a power facility in the Bryansk region.
On Thursday, world leaders gathered in Paris for a summit on peace and security in Ukraine. Before the conference, French President Emmanuel Macron met privately with President Zelensky and pledged to provide an additional 2 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine.
